Portal for workers in the agricultural sector

The company joined forces with Aimprosoft to build a custom portal for various agricultural sector professionals. The idea was to provide members, clients, and partners with multiple tools for resource planning, financial tracking, compliance, data analysis, bookkeeping and taxation, data provision for employers, etc. Liferay was chosen due to its suitable content management capabilities, especially its OOTB Forms.

Our team made sure that employees could fill out various forms on the portal and provide data about different aspects of life: marriage or divorce, the birth of a child, accident, salary declaration, etc. Special PDF reports are generated based on the filled data, and the requests are sent to a defined email address and also available for download. The portal is implemented on the latest Liferay 7.4 version, using modern features, including master pages, fragments, and stylebooks. All the content was implemented as a Site Initializer to make it easily deployable to any environment. For Liferay Forms, a custom extension was implemented to initialize forms based on predefined descriptors.  

Project outcomes

1. Portal offered simplified form submission and data provision, accelerating and facilitating administrative processes for agricultural professionals.
2. Automation of routine admin tasks reduced the time spent on low-value but necessary paperwork.
3. Accurate and compliant reports for regulatory purposes also improved decision-making and financial planning.
