Healthcare provider portal

The client hired the Aimprosoft team to build a custom healthcare portal to match patients and doctors. The idea was to make it a directory for patients to find relevant specialists, allowing doctors to sign agreements and invoice patients. The choice fell upon Liferay for its balance of flexibility and cost-efficiency. 

Our team created a dynamic interface with a special role and permission management system that changes the portal’s content and functionality between patient and doctor user profiles. The portal provides patients with an advanced search tool that helps them find the required doctors easily. Once the patient finds the necessary specialist, the portal requires both parties to sign an agreement. To implement this feature, our team created a dynamic form builder that gathers doctor and patient data and converts it into PDF contracts, stored in the Liferay Document Library after the signing. Our developers also implemented an e-signature feature, so that agreements can be signed in-app. 

Project outcomes

1. A functional and user-friendly healthcare portal facilitated collaboration between patients and healthcare providers.
2. All the client’s requirements related to usability and strict role-based access were successfully met on time.
3. Secure and fully digitalized process of signing agreements and invoicing patients allowed the client to reduce administrative overhead.
